Ronda McLelland -  President

Ronda currently serves as the President of the AASAP Board.  Ronda is the Director of TRIO Student Support Services at the University of Arkansas Community College Batesville.  She is an alum of the TRIO SSS program at Ozarka College.  Ronda began her TRIO career as a peer tutor, then after graduating with her B.A. she become the Tutor Coordinator for Ozarka's TRIO program.  Ronda is a graduate of Ozarka College (A.A. General Education), Lyon College (B.A. Early Childhood Education & Psychology), and Walden University (M.S. Educational Psychology).  Ronda and her husband Monte are parents to Michael, Ronnie, Joshua, and Hanna.  She enjoys watching sci-fi movies, reading for fun, and all things Disney!

Billy Ray Huggins -  President-Elect


Billy Ray Huggins is from Little Rock, Arkansas and has lived there most of his life. He currently serves as the President-Elect for AASAP (Term: 2018-2019). Since 2012, Billy Ray has been employed with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) as a Student Development Specialist with the TRIO Talent Search program. Billy Ray received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and his Masters of Science in College Student Personnel from Arkansas Tech University. He believes that access to higher education opens the doors of opportunity for all students. However, he knows that getting students access to a college education is only the beginning. Billy Ray likes to travel with his wife Aubrey and their dog Milo, shop at estate sales and collect antiques. Jeanette Youngblood - Past-President


Jeanette is currently completing her 6th year on the AASAP Board having served as SWASAP Rep for 2 years, President-Elect, President, and now Past-President.  Jeanette is the Director of APPLE Project Upward Bound at Lyon College.  She has been working in TRIO since 2009 but has worked in higher education since 1999.  Jeanette completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Williams Baptist College, a Masters of Applied Psychology at University of Arkansas-Little Rock, and a Specialist in Community College Teaching at Arkansas State University-Jonesboro.  Jeanette loves to laugh and spends most of her free time with her daughter Savannah.  Together they attend as many sporting events as possible ranging from the local to the collegiate to the professional level.  In addition, Jeanette carves out as much time as she can to lounge with her pets, play board game and read (she even listens to audiobooks while traveling).

Cory Godbolt - Treasurer


Cory Godbolt currently serves as the Treasurer of the AASAP Board (Term January 2018 – December 2020). Cory is the Student Support and Outreach Coordinator for the APPLE Project Upward Bound at Lyon College. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training from Ouachita Baptist University, and received his Master’s of Science in Sports Administration from Henderson State University. Cory’s first TRIO experience came from working with the Ouachita Baptist University Upward Bound Program in 2010, as a program assistant during the summer session. He continued working summer sessions for the Ouachita Baptist University Upward Bound Program as a residence life coordinator until graduating graduate school in 2014. Cory started working with the APPLE Project Upward Bound in January of 2015. Since then, he has completed AASAP and SWASAP ELI, and has served as the 2017 AASAP ELI chair, and has served on many AASAP committees. Cory enjoys cooking, spending time with family, and watching sports; particularly the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Shanikia Williams - Secretary


Shanikia Williams serves as the AASAP Board Secretary (Term: January 2018- December 2019). She is currently the Administrative Specialist for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock TRIO Programs (Talent Search & Educational Opportunity Center).  She started her experience with TRIO as a participant in Upward Bound at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Little did she know, she would become a TRIO Alumni by also participating in Student Support Services and McNair at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  Shanikia received her Bachelors degree at UA Little Rock and is currently pursuing her Masters. She said, “Yes, being a low-income and the first person to pursue a college education is a spectacular accomplishment but this is not what I call my greatest success. No, it was not easy but anyone can do this with the correct nurturing.” Shanikia goes on to say, “My greatest success of all has been my spiritual growth which in turn helped me to become the role model dreamed of.”

Krandon Henry -  SWASAP Representative

Krandon currently serves as the SWASAP Representative (Term: January 2017-December 2018). Krandon is an Academic Specialist for TRiO Student Support Services at UA Pine Bluff. Krandon began his TRiO career as a peer tutor during his undergraduate studies, reconnected with TRiO during his graduate studies, and has been full time with TRiO since 2012. He is an alum of UA Pine Bluff (B.S. Biology) and Iowa State University (M.S. Educational Leadership & Policy Studies). Krandon enjoys learning and growing and engages in activities that will foster an environment to do so. Krandon and his wife Denise enjoy playing and watching sports together, playing fantasy football, and playing board games (like Monopoly and Cash Flow). They also enjoy cooking, trading Forex and saving in gold. Krandon & Denise are passionate about helping improve the mindsets and the lives of people! Both are educators, and both serve in ministry.

Carol Gilley - SWASAP Representative

Carol Gilley currently serves as the SWASAP Representative for the board (Term January 2018- December 2020). Carol is a Talent Search Counselor from North Arkansas College in Harrison.  She has a BSBA in Accounting from University of Arkansas.  She has been in TRIO Talent Search since 2012.  She has been in higher education since 2008.  Carol and her husband are leaders with the Boy Scouts of America.  She and her family enjoy camping, hiking, floating, and fishing.

Pam Freer - AASAP Representative


Pam Freer serves as the AASAP Representative and is currently in her twentieth year with TRIO as an Academic Counselor for North Arkansas College Educational Talent Search.  Pam is a graduate of the 2017 ELI class and is excited about the opportunity to serve the AASAP membership.  Pam is a graduate of Arkansas State University with a BSE in Business Education and an MSE in Curriculum and Instruction.  Pam and her husband, Wayne, are the parents to Wade (Sarah) and Treka (Ethan) and have high expectations of future grandchildren.  Pam enjoys spending time at the lake and crashing on the couch.

Jermaine Rudd - AASAP Representative


Jermaine Rudd is from Hope, AR and is a OBU Talent Search TRIO Alum. Jermaine is currently the AASAP Representative for the board  term (2018-2019). He has worked in TRIO since November 2016 as a Student Development Specialist. He graduated from SAU (Southern Arkansas University) with a B.A in Sports Management, Master of Science and Master of Public Administration. Jermaine serves as the Community Outreach Pastor at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church of Little Rock, AR. As a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Jermaine has served on community projects such as "Go to school, Go to college", "Reading is fundamental" and Fundraisers for Breast Cancer Awareness. In his spare time, Jermaine loves watching and playing basketball with his two sons Jeremiah and Jermeve. Jermaine's favorite bible scripture is "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers because some have entertained angels unaware."
