Billy Ray Huggins - President
Billy Ray Huggins is from Little Rock, Arkansas and has lived there most of his life. He currently serves as the President for AASAP (Term: 2019). Since 2012, Billy Ray has been employed with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) as a Student Development Specialist with the TRIO Talent Search program. Billy Ray received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and his Masters of Science in College Student Personnel from Arkansas Tech University. He believes that access to higher education opens the doors of opportunity for all students. However, he knows that getting students access to a college education is only the beginning. Billy Ray likes to travel with his wife Aubrey and their dog Milo, shop at estate sales and collect antiques. Ashia Hall Muhammad - President-Elect
Ashia currently serves as the President-Elect of the AASAP Board. She is the Director of TRIO McNair Scholars Program at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Ashia has over ten years experience working with TRIO programs in the state of Arkansas. From 2008-2014, she served as the Education Specialist/ Tutor Coordinator for TRIO Student Support Services at the University of Arkansas-Pulaski Tech. Since 2014, she has worked with the McNair Scholars Program at UA-Little Rock. She previously served the AASAP board as AASAP Secretary (2011-2013), and Member at Large (2009-2011).
Ashia received her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. She completed a Master of Science in College Student Personnel from Arkansas Tech University and a Master of Education in Adult Education from University of Arkansans at Little Rock. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Higher Education Administration at the University of Arkansan sat Little Rock.
Ashia enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and volunteering with various community service organizations.

Ronda McLelland - Past-President
Ronda currently serves as the Past-President of the AASAP Board. Ronda is the Director of TRIO Student Support Services at the University of Arkansas Community College Batesville. She is an alum of the TRIO SSS program at Ozarka College. Ronda began her TRIO career as a peer tutor, then after graduating with her B.A. she become the Tutor Coordinator for Ozarka's TRIO program and she has been the Director of TRIO Student Support Services at UACCB for 4 years. Ronda is a graduate of Ozarka College (A.A. General Education), Lyon College (B.A. Early Childhood Education & Psychology), and Walden University (M.S. Educational Psychology). Ronda is a graduate of the 2011 SWASAP ELI class. Ronda and her husband Monte are parents to Michael, Ronnie, Joshua, and Hanna. She enjoys watching sci-fi movies, reading for fun, and all things Disney!

Cory Godbolt - Treasurer
Cory Godbolt is entering his second year as AASAP Treasurer. Cory is currently employed at Lyon College, and serves as the Upward Bound Math-Science Program Director. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training from Ouachita Baptist University, and received his Master’s of Science in Sports Administration from Henderson State University. Cory’s first TRIO experience came from working with the Ouachita Baptist University Upward Bound Program in 2010, as a program assistant during the summer session. He continued working summer sessions for the Ouachita Baptist University Upward Bound Program, as a residence life coordinator, until completing graduate school in 2014. Cory has worked with TRIO full time for four years, and has completed AASAP and SWASAP ELI, served as the 2017 AASAP ELI chair, has served on many AASAP committees, and was recently awarded the SWASAP 2018 Rising Star Award. Cory enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and watching sports; particularly the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Shanikia Williams - Secretary
Shanikia Williams serves as the AASAP Board Secretary (Term: January 2018- December 2019). She is currently the Administrative Specialist for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock TRIO Programs (Talent Search & Educational Opportunity Center). She started her experience with TRIO as a participant in Upward Bound at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Little did she know, she would become a TRIO Alumni by also participating in Student Support Services and McNair at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Shanikia received her Bachelors degree at UA Little Rock and is currently pursuing her Masters. She said, “Yes, being a low-income and the first person to pursue a college education is a spectacular accomplishment but this is not what I call my greatest success. No, it was not easy but anyone can do this with the correct nurturing.” Shanikia goes on to say, “My greatest success of all has been my spiritual growth which in turn helped me to become the role model dreamed of.”

Simeon Oston - SWASAP Representative
Simeon currently serves as the SWASAP Representative (Term: January 2019-December 2020). Simeon joined the TRIO family in 2014 as the Tutor Coordinator for the Upward Bound program at Southern Arkansas University (SAU). Simeon received his Bachelors of General Studies from SAU, as well as his Masters of Education in Higher Adult Lifelong Education. Simeon is a recent graduate of the 2018 SWASAP Emerging Leaders Institute; he has also served on AASAP committees. He enjoys spending time with his family, fellowships with his brothers, going on mud rides, and watching sports.

Pam Freer - SWASAP Representative
Pam Freer serves as the SWASAP Representative and recently completed her twentieth year with TRIO as an Academic Counselor for North Arkansas College Educational Talent Search. Pam is a graduate of the 2017 ELI class and served as the 2018 AASAP Representative. Pam is a graduate of Arkansas State University with a BSE in Business Education and an MSE in Curriculum and Instruction. Pam and her husband, Wayne, are the parents to Wade (Sarah) and Treka (Ethan) and welcomed grandsons Luke and Owen in 2018. Pam enjoys spending time at the lake, crashing on the couch and cuddling with her grandsons.

Brooke Siegler - AASAP Representative
Brooke Siegler currently serves as the AASAP Representative and works as an Education Advisor for Arkansas Northeastern College’s Educational Talent Search program. She received both her Bachelor of Education in Social Science and her Master of Public Administration from Arkansas State University. Prior to joining TRIO in 2015, Brooke worked as a high school history and government teacher. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, reading, traveling, and awards shows. .

Lacey Beth Gebhart - AASAP Representative
Lacey Beth Gebhart is a proud graduate of Weiner High School, Hendrix College (BA in Religious Studies), and the University of Arkansas (M.Ed. in Higher Education with an emphasis in Student Affairs). Lacey is the Assistant Director for the Upward Bound Programs at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, and she has been on the UB team since 2013. Upward Bound summers are the highlight of Lacey’s year, and being part of student success is the gas that keeps Lacey’s engines running. Lacey is a kooky aunt to 2 nieces and 2 nephews, part of the “church lady crew” at Trinity United Methodist Church, and a Harry Potter nerd. As a first-generation college grad herself, Lacey challenges herself to ask, “how can I be now what I needed back then?”
